🖼️ Embedded Stories Just Got a Lot Better

If you embed your Exposure stories on other websites, you’ll notice things work much smoother now. We’ve fixed a bunch of issues with how the lightbox opens. 

• Lightbox positioning: The photo lightbox now appears exactly where you’re looking. This was especially noticeable in tall, auto-resizing embeds.
• Swipe to close: On mobile, swipe down anywhere on the lightbox to close it. A small thing, but it feels right.
• Smoother navigation: Adjacent photos now preload in the background, so swiping through your story feels instant.

For developers: We’ve published a new embed script at js.exposure.co/embed/exposure-embed.js that handles all the iframe communication automatically. If you’re using iframeResizer for auto-height embeds, the lightbox will now communicate open/close states to your parent page. For everyone else: nothing for you todo!

⚡ Performance Polish: A few behind-the-scenes improvements that make things faster:

• Faster cover images, Your cover photo now preloads with priority, improving Largest Contentful Paint scores
• Smarter asset loading and queries, Various scripts have been optimized to make Exposure even faster. 

🎬 Video Tracking Polish: A few refinements to the Video Play Tracking feature we launched this week:

• Smarter labels, Placeholder text like “Add a caption” is now filtered out of video labels
• Multiple YouTube embeds, Fixed a bug where only one YouTube video would track per page
• Better security, Added server-side deduplication to ensure accurate play counts

✨ Editor Improvements: Small touches that add up:

• Interface animation improvements, we spent rebuilding the way the editor moves during editing and keep it fun to use. 
• Video playback continuity, If you’re playing a video and the grid re-layouts, playback resumes automatically
• Pro Plus video grids, Pro Plus users can now add videos to photo grids (more on this soon!)
