Section 508 and WCAG compliance

We run consistent tests for accessibility across Exposure sites and stories, including many checks for compliance issues found in the Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 guidelines. We do our very best to insure we are compliant at all times so you can feel confident in you or your organizations storytelling being accessible to any visitors.

If you do find an accessibility issues or have feedback please drop us a line at accessibility@exposure.co and we will be happy to validate and get it fixed.

Text alternatives for images (WCAG success criterion 1.1.1) depend on the alt text that each photo has. Authors can write alt text for every photo. On paid plans and free trials, Exposure also writes alt text for new photos with AI, and authors can review and edit it. See Add alt text descriptions to story photos.

Two-factor authentication and report scope

Section titled “Two-factor authentication and report scope”

Member accounts can opt in to two-factor authentication. The setup flow includes a text key as an alternative to a QR code. Sign-in uses a labeled field that accepts a pasted authenticator or recovery code.

Our WCAG 2.2 AA conformance report covers public story and site views. It does not rate member sign-in or account settings. Adding 2FA does not change those ratings or establish Section 508 compliance for the account flow.

See our account sign-in accessibility notes and the 2FA setup guide.
