Auto-Import Captions from Your Photos

Good news for photographers who caption their work in Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, or other editing software—Exposure now automatically imports those captions when you upload.

**How it works:**When you upload JPEGs with embedded IPTC or EXIF caption metadata, Exposure reads that data and populates the caption field for you. No more copying and pasting captions one by one.

**What you’ll see:**After uploading, you’ll get a quick message like “Found 3 captions in photo metadata” so you know it worked.You’re in control:This feature is enabled by default, but you can turn it off anytime in Settings → Preferences → Import Captions from Photo Metadata. 👉 Learn more about importing captions from photo metadata Questions?
