# Pausing a Subscription

We understand that sometimes you may need to take a break from your Exposure payments (life sometimes throws you a curve ball). In cases like that please [drop us a line](<mailto:hello@exposure.co>) and we will be happy to help.

We can pause subscription payments for up to 1 to 6 months depending on circumstances.

## What happens during a pause?

While your subscription is paused, your published stories become **temporarily unavailable** to visitors. They are not deleted — they simply show a message that the story is temporarily unavailable.

**When you resume:** All your stories will **automatically become available again** with their original publish dates preserved. No manual republishing required.
