Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the export take?

  • Writing Export: Usually just a few seconds

  • Full Export: 1-2 seconds per photo (100 photos β‰ˆ 2-3 minutes)

  • Per-Story Export: Depends on photo count in that story

What if my export fails?

Just try again! If photos fail to download, the export will continue and tell you how many couldn't be included. You can retry or export those stories individually.

Can I export videos and audio?

Currently, exports include images only. Videos and audio files are excluded to keep file sizes manageable.

What format are the photos?

Photos are downloaded as high-quality JPEGs at 2000px widthβ€”the same quality you see on your site.

Can I import my export somewhere else?

Yes! The export creates standard files:

  • Text files can be opened in any text editor

  • Photos are standard JPEG/PNG files ready for any platform

I have thousands of photos. What should I do?

For accounts over 500 photos:

  1. Use Per-Story Export to back up stories one at a time

  2. Contact [email protected] for a server-side export of your entire account
